Volunteering for MSQLP

We offer several volunteer opportunities:

Friendly Visitor

Volunteers make twice-monthly visits to clients who feel isolated.

Friendly Phone Caller

Volunteers make weekly phone calls to clients who feel isolated and prefer a phone call to a visit.

Swim Program Assistant

Volunteers get in the pool with our clients in our Water Aerobics program at the Monterey Sports Center. They assist clients complete a set of exercise. A Sports Center trainer is in the pool with the clients and our assistants.

Office Support

Volunteers help our Outreach Assistants and Office Manager complete office tasks: filing, data entry, computer work.

Handyman

Volunteers help clients with minor home repairs.

Gardener

Volunteers help clients with light gardening.

Events Assistants

Volunteers help us run events; they set up tables, decorate, prepare food, send out invitations.

If any of these interest you, please contact our office. We will be happy to discuss the range of volunteer opportunities. Training includes a mandatory general orientation session and specific training for the task.
