About MSQLP

Our Mission Objectives

MSQLP fulfills its mission using different programs and events that involve participation of the Board of Directors, paid staff, and volunteers.

These programs and events include

  • Case Management, which includes helping clients obtain needed equipment and referral services;
  • Support services, which include support groups and activities;
  • Educational events, which include both those for persons with MS and also for persons involved with MS patients—family members, caregivers, medical professionals.

Our Accomplishments

Just to give you a sense of what we've accomplished in 10 years, in August through December 2004, we made 57 house visits; in 2005, the first full year of operation, we made 286. In 2010, we made 1,292; that's more than 100 per month!

When our clients have a problem or just need to talk to someone about MS issues, we urge them to call us. In August through December 2004, we had 480 phone calls with or for clients; by 2009, the total number of calls had risen to 22,272.

Our client base has also expanded: in 2005, we had 21 caregiver clients; in 2009, 107. In 2002 we served 59 clients with MS; in 2009, that number had grown almost 4-fold, to 226.
